Gerdau, formerly Ameristeel / Florida Steel have been involved with Williams Steel / DSE Jackson TN in some form or fashion for the past 35 years. In the early years major projects were the fabrication/erection of several warehouse expansions followed by the supply of embedded steel and floor plates for a rolling mill expansion, and fabrication/erection of the fan access/platforms for the rolling mill ventilation project. They have also supplied miscellaneous fabrications such as slag pot pit covers, rolling mill stand up-ender and various equipment access platforms and conveyor crossovers. Whatever the job; big or small, from detailing out a job, fabricating the steel or erecting the structure, Williams Steel and its employees has always handled themselves professionally, delivered a quality fabrication and either delivered early or on time.
It all comes down to a simple fact: The success of projects is only as good as the quality of the companies (people) involved. This is the main reason that Gerdau continues to partner with Williams Steel and its sister companies.
